In the design of the Bo Chair by Driade, Philippe Starck starts from the design rules for stack chairs using closer front legs and rear legs positioned externally to the edge of the seat. But he immediately changes the rear legs to characterize the project. Bo takes advantage of its enlargement, where the seat becomes a backrest. In analyzing the Bo Chair, we forget about its stackability even when it succeeds without any “formal effort.”
