The Cross Stool by Lapalma was designed by Mario Ferrarini.  Th Cross stool is made of polyurethane and metal, suitable for both residential and contract space.‎  The inspiration comes from observing one of the areas where the brand's collections take center stage: an airport, a high-traffic transit area in the short space of time between a departure and a return.‎ There, where everything is fast, where every little break requires comfort, tranquility and beauty.‎

It is precisely the idea of travelling, of motion and a temporary pause that has inspired the shape of the stool.‎ With its fluid and accommodating profile and dynamic appeal of its seat, resembling a sports motorbike saddle, Cross is what its name promises: a passing, a crossing.‎

The project combines aesthetic appeal, technology and a focus on sustainability with a view to a circular economy: the shell that defines the profile and ergonomics of Cross has a core made of a single material - polyurethane, which is rigid on the inside, and flexible and softer to the touch on the outside - allowing for easy recycling at the end of its life.‎ The seat is inserted directly into the tubular metal base.‎
